October on Chaupal is a month for films. Ten Punjabi movies arrive across eleven release slots, opening with a friends’ reunion on October 1 and closing with a sequel on October 29. Here’s your complete guide to what’s new, what each one is about, and exactly when you can start watching. (Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree first arrived to rent on September 20, and October 1 is its regular Chaupal release.) Series fans, note that October has no new series on the calendar, but Sardarnia arrives just before the month begins, on September 29.

The word itself deserves a small explanation: a dastaar is the turban, which in Punjabi culture stands for honour and identity, the same two ideas at the heart of this story. Amar Hundal directs, with Tarsem Jassar, Geet Goraya and Yograj Singh in the cast. The film reached theatres on July 17, 2026, and comes to Chaupal in two steps: you can rent it from October 3, and it joins the regular Chaupal lineup on October 17.
Why watch it: It’s the one to pick if you like period stories with real stakes, and the October 3 rent option means you don’t have to wait two weeks to find out how it plays out.
8. Munda Pangebaz

The film reached theatres on February 20, 2026. New to the story? The first Bambukat is already streaming on Chaupal, so there’s time to catch up before October 29.
