Ranbir Kapoor, Boby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest hindi movie , “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has taken the box office by storm, surpassing the Rs 200 crore mark within just three days of its release. The film’s impressive performance has set it apart in a season dominated by grand weddings and affluent ceremonies.

On its opening day, “Animal” raked in an impressive Rs 63.80 crore, followed by Rs 66.27 crore on the second day. The movie achieved another milestone by collecting a whopping Rs 72.50 crore on day 3, bringing its total domestic nett collection to Rs 202.57 crore. This places it just behind SRK film “Jawan” but ahead of Siddharth Anand’s “Pathaan.” The film’s worldwide gross collection stands at an astounding Rs 360 crore, showcasing its global appeal.

“Animal” has become the second movie of the year, after “Jawan,” to enter the Rs 200 crore club in India and the Rs 350 crore club worldwide within the initial three days of release. Not only the big screen but the craze for this movie is also all over Instagram and other social media platforms.

Despite facing mixed to negative reviews for its portrayal of misogyny, violence, and vulgarity, “Animal” has resonated with the audience, reflected in its robust box office performance. The movie’s overall occupancy on Sunday almost 80%, with key contributors being Jaipur, NCR, Pune, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad.

While “Animal” has faced scrutiny for its content, its box office success challenges the typical expectations associated with Bollywood films. The decision to prioritize authenticity and cultural significance over flashy spectacles has resonated with audiences, making “Animal” a standout success in the current Bollywood landscape.

The film is likely to surpass the Monday test, competing with the likes of “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Gadar 2,” with its unique approach and exceptional box office numbers that continue to make headlines. “Animal” marks a significant achievement for Ranbir Kapoor and the cast and signals a potential shift in Bollywood’s approach to storytelling and celebration.
