After the blockbuster success of Jatt & Juliet 3, Diljit Dosanjh is back on the Dil-Luminati Tour, and his performance in Toronto left the audience mesmerized. Diljit continues to reach new heights, from performing at Coachella to delivering a ghaint performance on The Jimmy Fallon Show. It seems there’s no stopping him.
Diljit has been full of surprises, from performing at the pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant to sharing the stage with Ed Sheeran during his Mathematics Tour in Mumbai. Ed Sheeran singing in Punjabi and Jimmy Fallon speaking Punjabi were definitely not on our bingo cards this year, but here we are!
Diljit Dosanjh again managed to create history when he performed on July 13, Saturday at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, and it was a sold-out show. As expected in 2024, the year of unexpected crossovers, a surprise guest appeared at Rogers Centre: Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada. His unexpected entry on stage shocked everyone.
Diljit shared the event on his social media. In a video he posted on Instagram, Justin walked onto the stage while Diljit rehearsed with his dancers. “Punjabi aa gye oye,” exclaimed Diljit and his crew as everyone applauded. Diljit gestured to Trudeau, and the crowd started chanting “Trudeau” non-stop. At the end, Justin Trudeau shook hands with everyone, including Diljit’s manager, Sonali Singh.
“Diversity is Canada’s strength,” wrote Diljit Dosanjh in the video’s caption. “Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived to witness history in the making: we sold out the Rogers Centre!” Comments like “Legend,” “G.O.A.T,” and actress Aahana S. Kumra’s raised hand emoji flooded the post.
Diljit shared multiple posts from the concert on his Instagram account, which took the internet by storm.
